6 Pound Rawhide Maul manufactured by C.S. Osborne & Co. In the US is a well-balanced tool built to last. The head made from Water Buffalo hides is uniquely treated for maximum durability and shock absorbance. The balance of the Maul makes it easy to swing and strike square for delivering dead blows. The 6 pound Rawhide Maul is popular with tarp, sail making, canvas, awning, tent, leather shops, etc., because the balance and weight gets the job done and the tool just lasts but the extra weight provides even more control and gets the job done a bit quicker. The laminated heads are specially compressed between two brass flanges, connected to a lacquered 7.5” oak handle by an internal steel rod.
