• Open-Cell Foam: Used in both indoor and outdoor cushions—its porous structure allows water to flow through, making it a great choice for patio and marine seating. Available in trusted brands like Curon, Qualux, and General Purpose.
• Closed-Cell Padding: Dense and firm, best used as supportive padding or backing—not ideal for prolonged sitting due to its rigidity.
• Sewing Foam: A thin foam with a fabric scrim backing that allows it to be sewn—great for adding structure or quilted detail to seats, bags, and soft panels.
• Padding Materials: Includes Terylene (Dacron), Felt, and Jayflex—commonly used for wrapping cushions, smoothing edges, or adding loft beneath upholstery fabric.
