Sunbrella® Awning Fabric Cooper Black 4988-0000 is a solution dyed acrylic from Glen Raven's Sunbrella Awning Shade Stripe Collection. This fabric is 46'' wide and has the stripes running down the length of the fabric. Sunbrella Awning/Marine fabrics are stiffer than Sunbrella Upholstery fabrics but still soft to the touch. The multicolored stripes in this fabric makes it easy to coordinate with many other Sunbrella Fabric.
Sunbrella fabric can block 75 percent of the heat from the sun when used as awnings and reduce the temperature in a room up to 15 degrees. The air beneath the awning fabric is 22% cooler than the air under coated awnings per laboratory tests. Condensation is never a problem due to the breathability of the fabric. Savings up to 25 percent may be realized on a residential cooling bill after the installation of Sunbrella awning fabric.
Recommended uses: Fixed Awnings, Retractable Awnings, Shade Sails, Umbrellas.

Abrasion: Equal to or greater than 50,000 double rubs.
Caution: Solution-dyed acrylic does not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric., Sunbrella is made from 100% solution dyed acrylic fiber which is thermoplastic. Do not subject to excessive heat, this will shrink the canvas. When Sunbrella fabric is stored, it should be cleaned, allowed to air dry, and stored in a dry, well ventilated area. Never leave rolled up or folded when storing but allow to air dry first. Sunbrella fabrics should be cleaned regularly before substances such as dirt, roof particles, etc. are allowed to accumulate on and become embedded in the fabric. The fabric can be cleaned without being removed from the installation. Simply brush off any loose dirt, roof particles, etc.
Content: 100% solution dyed acrylic.
Cleaning: One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella fabrics looking good is to hose fabrics off on a monthly basis with clear water. This helps prevent dirt from becoming deeply embedded in the fabric and eliminates the need for more frequent vigorous cleaning. In most environments, a thorough cleaning will be needed every two to three years. For more vigorous cleaning options go to https://www.sunbrella.com/en-us/how-to-clean/clean-sunbrella-shade-fabrics.
