Washout Pencils work great with Sunbrella® and all our marine fabrics we sell. Leaves a line which shows up well for patterning but is easily removed with a damp cloth. This pencil will leave markings on all types of shiny surfaces including glazed pottery, glass, plastic including boat top plastic window vinyl, metal, rubber as well as porous surfaces such as fabric , wood, and paper. Can easily be removed from non-porous finishes. All marks wipe away easily from non-porous fabrics using only water. We learned this the hard way, do not leave your markings exposed to the sun longer than a few days as it will leave a ghost mark. Can be sharpened with a regular pencil sharpener.
